Following a hugely competitive selection process that saw 17 individual bids, the honor of hosting the 66th Eurovision Song Contest has been won by Turin, thanks to Måneskin’s magnificent victory in Rotterdam the previous year. The 66th Eurovision Song contest will take place on 10, 12 & 14 May at Pala Olimpico in Turin in Italy! Pala Olimpico was designed and built according to the vision of Japanese architect Arata Isozaki for the 2006 Torino Winter Olympic Games. The facility is widely recognized as the largest, most modern, most functional indoor arena facility in Italy and has hosted many international events, including gigs from the likes of Madonna, Lady Gaga, Ennio Morricone, Depeche Mode and Shakira, as well as various sporting events and entertainment spectaculars such as Cirque du Soleil.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will be hosted by three fantastic presenters: Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika. Laura Pausini is, right now, possibly the most highly regarded Italian recording artist in the world. Alessandro Cattelan, this year celebrating 20 years of presenting, probably best known for hosting Total Request Live, Le Iene, and The X Factor (Italy), is the creator and host of late shows, entertainment evenings and brand new formats. And completing the lineup is the incredible Mika. Since his debut single Grace Kelly (2007), the Lebanese-British singer-songwriter has enjoyed a career without artistic barriers set by genre, geography or societal expectations.

In January 2022, host broadcaster Rai revealed that the theme for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest would be...”The Sound of Beauty”! Turin’s theme is a visual representation of The Sound of Beauty. In order to represent sound and its visual (and beautiful) properties, the design is based on the symmetrical structure and patterns of cymatics – the study of sound wave phenomena.

Semi-Finals are set for the 10th and 12th of May, the Grand Final will take place on Saturday 14th of May 2022. The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest will be chosen through two Semi-Finals and a Grand Final. 40 countries will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. Traditionally, six countries are automatically pre-qualified for the Grand Final, the so-called 'Big Five'-France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom- and 6th is the host country, Italy, in this case is included in the “Big Five’ scheme. The remaining countries will take part in one of the two Semi-Finals. From each Semi-Final, the best ten will proceed to the Grand Final. Greece will be represented at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin by Armanda Georgiadi Tenfjord (a critically acclaimed international singer and songwriter) with the song "Die Together".
