The Masked Singer, the most imaginative, funny, spectacular…but above all mysterious show is coming for the first time on Greek television. Greek showbiz enters the microscope of “The Masked Singer”, which comes to Greek screens on Thursday, March 31st at 21.00 on SKAI TV Channel. Based on an international format, and already a viral phenomenon with over half a billion fans worldwide, the show “The Masked Singer” features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity. 14 Greek popular celebrities will take to the stage to sing anonymously in costumes over a series of episodes. They will all be dressed in costumes with a mask so that they can't be identified. Each episode, competitors will battle it out in face-off competitions, in which each will perform a song of his or her choice in their real voice. The panel and audience will then vote on each performance, with the winner of each battle safe and going through to the following week. The loser will be up for elimination. There will also be hints given to who the singing celebrity is, with the panel trying to guess who they are. One celebrity will be eliminated on each show - and their identity will be revealed. Hosted by the Greek star Sakis Rouvas, “The Masked Singer” is a new celebrity singing game show and features a star-studded detective playing panel: Nikos Moutsinas (show presenter and actor), Elisavet Konstantinidou (actress), Athina Oikonomakou (actress), and Thodoris Marantinis (singer). With each performance, the host, panelists, audience, viewers and even the other contestants are left guessing who is singing behind the mask. The singers may attempt to throw the crowd off of their scent, while keen observers might pick up on tiny clues buried throughout the show. One singer will be eliminated each week, ultimately revealing his or her true identity. The contestants who will appear in the first show will be dressed as: Hippopotamus, Popcorn, Gorilla, Minotaur, Unicorn, Tsolias, Queen Bee, Cyclops and Cyber girl. At the end of the show, the celebrity's true identity is revealed as they are unmasked on stage in a wild guessing game. Konstantinos Rigos (Greek choreographer and stage director) has taken over the artistic direction of "The Masked Singer" and the production is by Acun Medya. In Acun Medya they try to keep a seven-sealed secret who are the famous Greeks who will be behind the impressive masks. No one still knows the names of the 14 participants.
